For the past few years, I've been going to DaVerse Lounge in Deep Ellum to listen to people 21 and under from all across the area share their voice through poetry and spoken word. Each time, the stories shared are different. And each time, I leave proud of the presenters for their confidence to share their greatest triumphs and theirdarkest tragedies to strangers in the audience.
Last night, I got the chance to share a piece that I had written. The piece is titled "Speak UP".
